BoA to drop 11th full album ‘Crazier’ this August for 25th anniversary

Legendary solo artist BoA is making a powerful comeback this summer with her 11th full-length album Crazier — just as her 25th debut anniversary approaches and with only five months left in her SM Entertainment contract.

On August 4 at 6 PM KST, BoA will officially release Crazier through various music platforms. The album will include 11 tracks in total, including the title song of the same name, and promises to showcase BoA’s growth as both an artist and producer.

This will be BoA’s first full album in nearly five years since 2020’s Better, and it's already gaining attention as a special gift to fans who have been with her since her 2000 debut. Celebrating 25 years in the industry, Crazier is set to reflect the passion, talent, and personal touch that have defined BoA’s legendary career.

The album features a mix of high-energy dance tracks, emotional ballads, and even self-composed songs, with BoA taking part in writing both lyrics and music. She’s already proven her creative skills through previous works like Only One, Kiss My Lips, Forgive Me, and the emotional single Emptiness (Jeongmal, Eopni?). With Crazier, she continues to express her unique musical style.

The physical version of Crazier will also be released on August 4, with pre-orders starting July 17 at online and offline music stores.

Meanwhile, fans have been keeping a close eye on BoA’s next steps. Back in April, she sparked retirement rumors after posting on social media, “Can I retire after this contract ends?” followed by, “Oops, typo—meant retire.” The post quickly spread among fans, raising questions about her future with SM Entertainment.

BoA later addressed the post, clearing the air: “My contract with SM is until December 31, 2025. Until then, I’ll do my best as singer BoA and be happy. Don’t worry, my love Jumping (BoA’s fandom).”

As she prepares to return with Crazier, fans are excited not only for her new music but also to see what the future holds for one of K-pop’s original queens.
