• BoA makes a big comeback with special tribute after apology and fans can’t wait to see her perform

Singer BoA is ready to shine again as she looks back on her amazing music career ahead of her special performance at the 2025 Weverse Con Festival (WeConFe).

BoA will perform on May 31 and June 1 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon. She will be featured on the festival’s famous “Tribute Stage,” which honors artists who have greatly influenced K-pop. Past tributes included legends like Shin Hae Chul, Seo Tae Ji, Uhm Jung Hwa, and Park Jin Young. This year, BoA will take the spotlight to celebrate 25 years since her debut.

The festival organizers praised BoA as “a symbol of K-pop history who proved that K-pop could reach global fans, topping Japan’s Oricon charts even before K-pop was widely known.” That’s why she was chosen as the tribute artist this year.

BoA shared her feelings, saying, “I heard the Tribute Stage is a special part of WeConFe, so I’m really happy to join. It means a lot to celebrate my 25 years in music, from before K-pop became global until now, with so many people.”

Reflecting on K-pop’s growth, she said, “K-pop is now loved worldwide and even has its own category on big music charts overseas. It has become more than music — it’s a whole culture now, and I can really feel that.”

BoA also talked about performing with younger K-pop stars who lead the scene today. “It feels special that WeConFe brings artists from different generations together. Many junior artists told me they like my songs or covered them, which made me proud. Now I’ll see it myself, and it makes me a little shy but excited.”

She gave fans a sneak peek of her performance, saying, “Since it’s a festival, I’ll sing songs that many people love with a live band to make it lively. I hope everyone will sing along and feel the energy with me.” She added, “Let’s get our energy up and meet at the concert!”

WeConFe is a big music festival that connects global fans across genres and ages through the Weverse platform. This year, the festival has the largest lineup ever with 27 groups and artists, including K-pop idols, bands, and musical actors. It also offers special night shows at Weverse Park to make the event even bigger.

Meanwhile, in April, BoA faced criticism after a drinking live broadcast with TV personality Jeon Hyun Moo. During the stream, she made some negative comments about comedian Park Na Rae, which caused backlash. BoA later apologized officially for what she said.

Now, BoA is focusing on her music again and preparing to give fans a powerful performance to remember.

  • Girls' Generation’s Choi Soo Young new photoshoot has everyone doing a double take — even her longtime boyfriend

Girls' Generation’s Choi Soo Young is turning heads and making hearts race with her latest sizzling photo shoot!

The stunning idol-turned-actress recently teamed up with W Korea for their June issue, and the results are nothing short of stunning.

Posing in bold summer outfits like a daring denim crop top, mini skirt, and bodysuit, Soo Young showed off her flawless figure and next-level confidence.

Fans couldn’t stop praising her strong model vibes and perfect proportions — she’s truly in her photo shoot queen era!

Soo Young didn’t just look amazing — she also opened up about her latest acting challenge in the tvN drama “Please Send Me a Fan Letter,” where she plays the lead role.

She shared, “I wanted to do a kind of acting that shows everything clearly. While filming, I focused on making people feel my emotions just by looking at my face.”

She added, “When you act in a way that keeps people from changing the channel, it means adding just one more expression or emotion. So I told myself, ‘Let’s go all out.’ That helped me let go of some fear.”

Talking about her character Han Geum Joo, she said, “Every actor prepares differently. For me, I think about their job first. Since Geum Joo is a car mechanic, I imagined her moving fast, doing tough work, and having a strong will to win from a young age.”

She continued, “She works with machines and spends a lot of time with men, so I thought maybe she’s good at drinking. I pictured her as someone who might need a drink to relax. That helped me really understand her personality.”

Choi Soo Young currently stars in tvN’s “Please Send Me a Fan Letter”, airing every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM KST — and with this kind of charisma, it’s no surprise fans are glued to their screens!
