BTS’s V is making waves with his solo album 'Layover,' which has climbed to the top of iTunes album charts in an impressive 110 countries! The album reached number one in Uzbekistan on October 21, marking a major milestone for V and his music.

This achievement sets a new record for any album released since 2020. V is now among only three Asian solo artists to have reached number one on the iTunes album chart in over 110 countries.

'Layover' is based on R&B and truly reflects V's emotions. With this first solo album, he has proven himself as a strong solo artist, blending his artistic vision with widespread popularity.

V has also made history as the first K-pop solo artist to have all tracks from an album surpass 100 million streams on Spotify. In the United States, he is the first Asian solo artist to sell over 100,000 units for every track on the album, showing just how impactful he is in the music world.

The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 'Billboard 200' chart, with songs like 'Slow Dancing' and 'Love Me Again' also making it onto the Billboard Hot 100. V became the first K-pop soloist to have all tracks from an album chart on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Global 200 (excluding the U.S.) charts.

British music magazine NME praised V's debut album, calling it "an attractive product that has endured a difficult validation process, prioritizing artistic choices over commercial ones." They added that the album "shines with classic sounds mixed with modern twists," emphasizing that "the long wait has been more than worth it."

Portuguese media outlet FNAC also highlighted 'Layover,' naming it one of the "Top 10 Must-Know Albums." They noted that the album blends jazz, soul, and pop while still embracing R&B elements, with lyrics that touch on timeless themes of love, sadness, and intimacy.

The LP version of 'Layover' has sold out in South Korea and Japan, where it was released early. It even debuted at number one on the Oricon Daily Album Chart in Japan. In the U.S., U.K., and Canada, where pre-orders are still available, it has seen multiple sellouts, showing a fantastic response from fans!
