Hwang In Yeop and Lee Hyeri raised excitement with a close bathroom scene as their characters slowly began opening their hearts to each other again in ENA’s “Dream to You.”
Episode 3, which aired on July 20, recorded an average rating of 3.2 percent and a peak of 3.7 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea.
The episode revealed why Woo Soo Bin, played by Hwang In Yeop, failed to keep his promise to make a movie with Joo Yi Jae, played by Lee Hyeri, 15 years ago.
Soo Bin explained that he was not asking for forgiveness but wanted to ease the pain she had carried for years.
“I am not asking you to understand or forgive me now,” he said. “I just hoped your heart could feel a little better.”
Although Yi Jae initially tried to keep her distance, the two gradually began to comfort each other after reuniting.
When Yi Jae struggled with painful memories from the past, Soo Bin told her, “I came back to hold tightly to the good memories.”
He also returned the screenplay they had once written together, quietly encouraging her to remember the dream she had left behind.
Yi Jae later opened up about how financial pressure and daily responsibilities had forced her to give up her goal of becoming a film director.
“I feel like I have been living my life in too much of a hurry,” she admitted. “Who knew that a job I chose because I needed money would continue for years?”
Soo Bin comforted her and reminded her that surviving those difficult years was already an achievement.
During an emotional moment, Yi Jae tearfully told him, “Woo Soo Bin, you are not my regret. I am.”
The next morning, Yi Jae woke up at Soo Bin’s hotel. When his close friend Seo In Wook, played by Lee Sang Yeop, unexpectedly arrived, Soo Bin and Yi Jae quickly hid together inside the bathroom.
Standing only inches apart while trying not to be discovered, the two could not look away from each other. Their intense eye contact created a romantic moment that suggested their long delayed feelings were beginning to return.
Meanwhile, the episode also showed Shim Yoo Gun, played by Baek Sung Chul, becoming closer to top star Oh Ha Na, played by Lee Yeol Eum, as the two began building an unexpected friendship.
