Jung Eun Chae has shared warm praise for her “Flex X Cop 2” co star Ahn Bo Hyun, revealing that the actor has a playful and charming side away from the cameras.
SBS’s new Friday Saturday drama “Flex X Cop 2” is set to premiere on August 7. The series follows wealthy detective Jin Yi Soo, played by Ahn Bo Hyun, as he joins forces with newly appointed team leader Joo Hye Ra, played by Jung Eun Chae, to handle difficult investigations.
Ahead of the premiere, Jung Eun Chae spoke about working closely with Ahn Bo Hyun and praised his attitude on set.
“He was always completely present as Jin Yi Soo”, she said. “As a fellow actor, his passion and flexibility gave me very positive motivation”.
She then revealed a different side of him, adding, “He is also very witty and has many cute sides in real life”.
Their characters are expected to begin with a tense relationship. Joo Hye Ra was once a strict police academy instructor, while Jin Yi Soo was a trainee under her supervision. They later reunite as team leader and team member.
Jung Eun Chae explained that the two characters may appear completely different but also share unexpected similarities.
“Jin Yi Soo and Joo Hye Ra are complete opposites, like water and fire, but they are strangely similar in some ways”, she said. “It will be interesting to watch them begin with an unusual superior and subordinate relationship and gradually become perfect investigation partners”.
Jung Eun Chae also described Joo Hye Ra as an experienced and strong leader who listens carefully to her team members. She said she was drawn to the drama’s humor, fast paced story, and the challenge of introducing a new character into its existing world.
With Ahn Bo Hyun’s playful personality and the pair’s contrasting characters, viewers are already looking forward to their new partnership in “Flex X Cop 2”.
