
BTS member V continues to show his strong influence in Japan through popularity rankings, brand campaigns, and social media records.
V ranked No. 1 for the 276th consecutive week on Nehan, a Japanese idol popularity ranking. The latest voting period took place from July 6 to 12.
He is also maintaining the top position on several other Japanese K pop platforms. On KPOP JUICE, V remains No. 1 in the all time ranking with approximately 6.97 million votes.
According to the results, he holds a lead of more than 2.47 million votes over the artist in second place.
V also ranks No. 1 in K board’s all time “K pop Idol Popularity Ranking,” “Korean Drama Male Actor General Election,” and “Handsome Man Election.”
His popularity has also led to several high profile advertising campaigns across Japan.
Japanese beauty brand Yunth selected V as its ambassador and has featured him in television commercials and promotional campaigns. Products connected to the campaign reportedly sold out at some locations.
Coca Cola has also released promotional videos featuring V, while Paradise City has displayed campaign advertisements at major subway stations, including Ginza and Omotesando in Tokyo, as well as in Osaka and other cities.
Beauty brand TIRTIR has continued its promotions through pop up events, while HiteJinro has started local activities featuring V through Jinro Japan after naming him a global ambassador.
Meanwhile, Fuji TV’s morning program “Mezamashi TV” recently reported on V surpassing 75 million Instagram followers, highlighting the achievement as another new record.
With his long running No. 1 rankings and growing number of brand campaigns, V continues to demonstrate his strong popularity and commercial influence in Japan.
