BTS V’s global fans are celebrating his upcoming appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final with a major billboard project near MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Fan groups V Union, Baidu V Bar, Taehyung Tuesday, and Worldwide KTH arranged for congratulatory videos to appear on two large outdoor billboards close to the stadium.
The advertisements will run from July 14 through July 19 local time. According to the fan groups, the billboards were placed in busy locations where World Cup visitors would be able to see them, despite increased demand and advertising costs during the final.
The messages include the phrase, “Taehyung, see you at MetLife,” welcoming V to one of the world’s most watched sporting events.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup final will be held on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, which has a capacity of more than 80,000 spectators.
FIFA is introducing a Super Bowl style halftime performance for the final. The event is expected to mark the first official halftime show during a World Cup final in the tournament’s 96 year history and will be broadcast worldwide.
BTS are scheduled to perform as co headliners alongside Madonna and Shakira, while Justin Bieber has reportedly joined the event as a guest performer.
Before traveling to New Jersey, BTS will complete the European leg of their “ARIRANG” world tour with concerts at Stade de France in Paris on July 17 and 18.
