ALLDAY PROJECT member Annie is setting the record straight about her debut — and it wasn’t because of any family connections.
On August 5, a new episode of the YouTube variety show Salon Drip 2 was released on TEO’s channel, featuring ALLDAY PROJECT members Annie and Tarzzan as guests.
During the interview, host Jang Do Yeon brought up the topic of Annie’s standout visuals and asked, “Since you stand out, some people might think the agency contacted you first.”
Annie quickly shut down the idea, saying, “That’s not true. I became a trainee at The Black Label through an audition.”

She then revealed the hard work it took to train under the agency while living abroad. “I was studying overseas at the time, so I trained and took classes remotely”, Annie explained.
“Every week, I filmed evaluation videos, sent them to the company, and received feedback. I trained like that for about four years.”
She added, “During school breaks, I flew to Korea and visited the company in person.”
Jang Do Yeon was impressed and said, “You have strong determination, in a good way,” showing her surprise at Annie’s dedication.

Later in the interview, Jang asked how their families reacted to their debut. Annie shared with a laugh, “My younger sibling told me, ‘Your face is showing up too much everywhere.’” Tarzzan added, “My dad said, ‘Can I quit my job now?’”
When asked if they visited each other’s homes during trainee days, Annie said, “We did that a lot. After training, we’d get hungry late at night. We felt awkward ordering food at the company, so we usually ate at my place.”
She also revealed that her family grew close to the other members — especially Tarzzan. “My parents really like people who are sweet and affectionate, and since I’m not that type, they adore Tarzzan instead.”
Proudly, Tarzzan chimed in, “I even sang Zaza’s ‘In the Bus’ in front of Annie's family,” making everyone burst into laughter.
With this episode, Annie not only shared her journey but also cleared up any misunderstandings about how she earned her spot in the group — through hard work, not privilege.
