Bona and Park Seo Ham are set to lead a new time slip romance in Dive Into You, a Disney+ and Channel A drama built around first love, friendship, and an attempt to change the past.
New stills released on September 11 offer a first look at Bona as Yoon Ha Na and Park Seo Ham as Jung Woo Jae, longtime friends who have quietly had feelings for each other for years.
The two first meet at age 18 and remain close for 16 years. Despite liking each other from the beginning, neither confesses because they fear that a failed relationship could destroy their friendship.
Their story changes after Jung Woo Jae suddenly dies before Yoon Ha Na can tell him how she feels. While watching old footage of him on a camcorder, Ha Na unexpectedly travels back to 2010, when the two were 18 years old.
After realizing she has returned to the time when they first met, Ha Na decides to use the opportunity to protect Woo Jae and try to change his future.
The newly released images show the pair at different stages of their relationship. Their teenage years are portrayed with a lighter and more innocent atmosphere, while their adult scenes hint at feelings they have kept hidden behind their longtime friendship.
Another still shows Ha Na meeting the 18 year old Woo Jae again after traveling back in time. Unlike her younger self, she appears more direct with him, suggesting that her knowledge of the future will change the way she approaches their relationship.
The premise has also drawn comparisons to the 2024 hit drama Lovely Runner, which similarly followed a female lead traveling back to her younger years after the death of someone important to her. However, Dive Into You centers on longtime friends with mutual but unspoken feelings and uses an old camcorder as the key to its time travel story.
Attention is now on whether Yoon Ha Na can change Jung Woo Jae’s fate and finally express the feelings she was unable to share the first time around.
Dive Into You is scheduled to premiere on September 26.
