BTS’s Jin is once again showing his strong influence on product sales after a pony plush he carried during a recent concert quickly sold out in South Korea.
During BTS’s ARIRANG world tour concerts at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on August 16 and 17, Jin appeared in a cowboy themed outfit inspired by Woody from Toy Story. Instead of carrying a toy gun, he placed a small pony plush purchased from Six Flags in his pocket.
The item was later identified as the Palm Pals Gallop Pony plush.
According to Palm Pals, the first batch of the plush sold through Naver Store has now completely sold out.
The Gallop Pony had not previously been officially released in South Korea, but following increased interest and requests from fans, it was launched domestically on September 10.
Soon after its release, the plush reportedly climbed to No. 1 on Naver Store’s real time, daily, weekly, and monthly rankings before selling out.
Palm Pals said a second batch is expected to arrive in October. The company is also reportedly considering limited sales of additional accessories, including a pony hat and scarf, following requests from fans.
The latest sellout adds to a series of products that have attracted attention after being worn or used by Jin.
Recent examples reportedly include a Gucci campaign jacket priced at around 13.32 million won, as well as clothing and accessories he wore during performances.
Jin currently works with several major brands, including Gucci, Alo, FRED, Laneige, Dongwon F&B, and IGIN.
With the pony plush reaching the top of several Naver Store rankings before selling out, Jin’s latest appearance once again highlights the strong consumer interest surrounding items connected to the BTS member.
