J.Y. Park offered candid advice to rookie girl group OURBIRTHDAY ahead of their debut during the latest episode of MBC's The Manager.

In the episode, the veteran singer and producer met with the group's members for a mentoring session, where he spoke about the realities of becoming an artist and the importance of maintaining healthy relationships.

J.Y. Park reminded the trainees that debuting does not automatically guarantee happiness.

"Debuting as a singer doesn't mean you'll be happy," he said. "Being a singer is a job. Out of all the professions in the world, this is the one you've chosen. It's not easy to become happy just because you're a singer."

He also stressed the importance of choosing friends wisely, saying that the people around them can have a significant impact on their careers and personal growth.

"Be careful about who you become friends with," he advised. "If you choose the wrong friends, it can become a big problem. Be with people who make you want to become a better person. I've seen many entertainers lose their way because they kept the wrong company."

J.Y. Park also shared advice on handling disagreements within the group, acknowledging that conflicts are inevitable in a team.

"I know you'll have arguments," he said. "You should point out each other's mistakes, but never embarrass one another. If you're upset or have a complaint, wait until you're alone together and talk about it privately."

His practical guidance drew attention from viewers, with many praising the producer for offering realistic advice to idols preparing to begin their careers in the entertainment industry.
