Composer Kim Do Hoon praised MAMAMOO’s dedication and hard work on KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs.”

On the June 6 broadcast, the show aired part 2 of its special episode for composer Kim Do Hoon, where artists performed new versions of his hit songs. During the episode, Bada chose MAMAMOO’s “Décalcomanie” and delivered a powerful diva style performance.

After the stage, MC Shin Dong Yup asked Kim Do Hoon about the making of “Décalcomanie,” saying he heard it was one of the hardest songs to complete.

Kim Do Hoon explained, “This song did not come together easily for me.” He added that the track went through mastering 23 times and involved four mixing engineers, making it one of the most difficult songs he had ever completed.

Shin Dong Yup then brought up MAMAMOO’s past appearances on “Immortal Songs,” saying the group created a huge impact and delivered legendary stages every time.

Kim Do Hoon revealed the reason behind those performances was MAMAMOO’s intense practice. He said, “They had to show the image of a highly skilled group, and ‘Immortal Songs’ was an important stage, so they practiced continuously for 12 hours a day.”

He continued that the members felt pressure because many people had high expectations for them. Kim Do Hoon shared, “You always did well, so today will be good too, right?” as something he would tell them when checking on their rehearsals.

He added that MAMAMOO always worked hard to meet expectations, though it was not easy for them.
