BIGBANG’s Daesung has been caught up in dating rumors with KARA’s Heo Young Ji, but his agency quickly denied the claims.
On June 22, Daesung’s agency RND Company addressed the rumors and explained that the two became close after Heo Young Ji appeared on his YouTube content “Zip Daesung”.
The agency stated, “After ‘Zip Daesung’, they became close and went to watch MAMAMOO’s concert together”. They firmly added, “They are only close colleagues. The dating rumor is not true”.
The rumors started after a video spread online showing Daesung, Heo Young Ji, and Oh My Girl’s Hyojung attending MAMAMOO’s concert at Olympic Hall in Seoul on June 21.
In the clip, Daesung and Heo Young Ji were seen sitting next to each other, looking at a MAMAMOO light stick, and laughing while talking.
Some online users then began speculating about their relationship, especially after Daesung’s past comment from “Zip Daesung” resurfaced.
At the time, Daesung joked, “Taeyang hyung told me to try things out with Young Ji”, adding that Taeyang often tells him to do well with people and may have thought his chemistry with Young Ji was good.
However, Hyojung was also present at the concert, and the rumors appear to have spread after videos and photos focused mainly on Daesung and Heo Young Ji. According to Daesung’s side, the two are simply close colleagues.
