
tvN’s teen occult romance drama Head Over Heels has officially wrapped up its run — and it went out with a bang, staying No.1 in its time slot and making a strong mark both in South Korea and overseas.
The final episode, which aired on July 29, recorded an impressive 5.1% average and 6.2% peak in Seoul, and 4.9% average and 6.1% peak nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea.
The series held the No.1 spot across all cable and general channels during its time slot, proving its consistent popularity until the very end.
Since premiering on June 23, Head Over Heels gained steady attention from viewers thanks to its unique concept and emotional storytelling.
The show achieved over 464 million total digital views and ranked No.1 on the TVING TOP10 content list for four straight weeks (July 1–22). It also claimed the No.1 spot in TV-OTT drama buzz rankings for two weeks in July, showing both critical and fan-driven success.
The drama didn’t just dominate locally — it also made waves globally. Head Over Heels climbed to No.3 worldwide in Amazon Prime Video’s TV category (both English and non-English content), and reached No.1 in over 8 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Egypt. In total, it entered the TOP10 rankings in 35 countries, proving its global appeal.
Actors Choo Young Woo and Cho Yi Hyun gained major attention for their roles. On July 15, they ranked No.1 and No.2 in Good Data Corporation’s most talked-about drama actors list, and Choo Young Woo was later named the No.1 rising star in Korea for July 2025, according to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute. He even ranked higher than Lovely Runner’s Byeon Woo Seok and Mr. Trot 3 winner Kim Yong Bin.
