Choo Young Woo has officially been chosen by renowned director Ahn Pan Seok to lead his upcoming ENA drama Love Doctor — and fans are already excited about his potential pairing with Kim So Hyun.
According to a report on November 4, Choo Young Woo will play Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who loses his left leg due to illness and struggles to find new meaning in life.
At his lowest point, he discovers a passion for robotics and, after four attempts, finally earns a spot at Seoul National University’s Mechanical Engineering Department.
Although he appears calm on the outside, Min Jae hides deep emotional scars and secretly dreams of falling in love — something he’s never had the courage to pursue.
Earlier reports revealed that Kim So Hyun is set to play Im Yoo Jin, a fashion major whose life takes a turn after a sudden incident ruins her academic future.
She later finds new inspiration through robotics — and through Min Jae. As she enters graduate school, Yoo Jin begins to open her heart to him, hinting at a healing romance between two wounded souls.
The drama is directed by Ahn Pan Seok, the mastermind behind hits like Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, and Secret Love Affair. The script is penned by Min Hyo Jung.
With Choo Young Woo and Kim So Hyun as leads, Love Doctor is already drawing attention for what could be one of the most heartfelt and emotional pairings in upcoming K-dramas.
