Upcoming fantasy action film Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is already making headlines with its jaw-dropping behind-the-scenes stills — and fans are blown away by the cast’s dedication to their intense action scenes, from wire stunts to sword fights.

Set to hit Korean theaters on July 23, the movie tells the story of Kim Dok Ja, the only reader of a web novel that suddenly becomes reality just as it ends after over 10 years. To survive the now-ruined world, he must team up with the novel’s original main character Yoo Jung Hyuk and a group of unique allies — kicking off a non-stop fantasy survival game.

The newly released photos give fans a glimpse of the hard work and passion behind the scenes, showing the cast fully immersed in their roles. The actors trained for months at an action school, learning wire techniques, weapon handling, and intense fight choreography. Their efforts paid off — each star tackled the physically demanding scenes with ease and professionalism.

Ahn Hyo Seop, who plays Kim Dok Ja, performed high-flying wire action scenes that demanded stamina, focus, and perfect timing. Crew members on set praised his incredible endurance and sharp attention to detail.

Lee Min Ho transforms into Yoo Jung Hyuk, the novel’s original hero. He had to master various weapons while rocking a heavy leather coat — no easy task when performing complicated action moves. Since Yoo Jung Hyuk enters the story as a powerful, fully-formed fighter, Lee Min Ho had to show overwhelming strength from the very beginning. But even under pressure, he led the set with a positive attitude and strong energy.

Other cast members also brought powerful action to the screen:

  • Chae Soo Bin (Yoo Sang Ah) had to film a wild subway scene where the train flips upside down. She performed her wire scenes flawlessly while hanging from the ceiling, even as the crew flipped the entire set to make it feel real.
  • Shin Seung Ho (Lee Hyun Sung) gave off serious protector vibes with solid defense-based action moves.
  • Nana (Jung Hee Won) wowed with her fast, flashy short-blade combat, sprinting through fight scenes with fiery intensity.
  • Ji Soo (Lee Ji Hye) added another unique layer to the group’s action dynamic, each actor bringing something special to the table.

Stunt director Jung Yoon Heon shared his excitement, saying, “Thanks to these physically gifted actors, we were able to create action that’s cooler and more dynamic than anything we’ve done before.” He added, “If you pay attention to each actor’s unique style, the action becomes even more thrilling.”

With an all-star cast, cinematic visuals, and high-level action, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about films of the summer. Don’t miss it when it hits theaters in Korea on July 23!
