Ahn Bo Hyun delivered one of the most intense moments yet in Flex X Cop 2, stopping a dangerous situation by grabbing a sword blade with his bare hand.
The September 4 episode of SBS’s Flex X Cop 2 recorded a peak rating of 7.9%, according to Nielsen Korea. The episode also posted 6.9% in the Seoul metropolitan area, while its peak rating among viewers aged 20 to 49 reached 2.14%.
The episode continued two major mysteries surrounding Jin Yi Soo, played by Ahn Bo Hyun.
One involved Yoo Sung Won, played by Yoo Seung Ho, who is under suspicion in connection with a series of disappearances. Jin Yi Soo visited Yoo Sung Won’s studio looking for answers, only to hear a mysterious comment suggesting that the two share a past Jin Yi Soo may not fully remember.
Yoo Sung Won told him, “I’ll tell you because you’re my hyung. It’s to remember memories I can never forget.”
He then added that they had known each other much longer than Jin Yi Soo remembered, saying, “I’ve liked you since then.”
Meanwhile, Jin Yi Soo’s detective team investigated a disturbing case at an arts high school, where rumors of a curse began spreading after a student died under unusual circumstances.
Without revealing all of the investigation’s details, the case gradually suggested that there could be a more realistic and dangerous explanation behind the supposedly supernatural incidents.
The episode reached its most dramatic moment during a rehearsal when another student suddenly became disoriented and began swinging a sword toward someone nearby.
Jin Yi Soo rushed onto the stage and stopped the attack by catching the blade with his bare hand.
Blood could be seen running from his hand as he held onto the weapon and attempted to bring the situation under control, creating the episode’s shocking ending.
The scene also added to concerns surrounding Jin Yi Soo himself, as the character has recently been experiencing worsening panic symptoms and other unsettling incidents.
With the school mystery still unfolding and questions surrounding Yoo Sung Won becoming more complicated, Flex X Cop 2 is continuing to build suspense around both Jin Yi Soo’s investigation and his own unexplained past.
