Im Si Wan, Seol In Ah, Kim Jung Hyun, and Yeonwoo are already raising expectations for tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Love in Disguise after the production team revealed photos from the cast’s first script reading.
Set to premiere on October 19 at 8:50 PM KST, Love in Disguise is a thriller romance about an arrogant third-generation chaebol who becomes a murder suspect and a former special forces detective who secretly enters his world while working as his personal secretary.
At the script reading, Im Siwan took on the role of Yoon Yi Joon, the next heir to Taekang Group. He reportedly captured the character’s confident and privileged personality through his detailed delivery and helped set the tone for the reading.
Seol In Ah plays Kang Jae Hee, a former special forces member who now works as a detective. Her energetic performance highlighted the character’s bold personality and created an early sense of chemistry with Im Siwan.
Kim Jung Hyun portrays Kim Si Hyun, Yoon Yi Joon’s close friend and a lawyer on Taekang Group’s legal team. Meanwhile, Yeonwoo plays Lee Hye Jung, the secretary to Taekang Group’s chairman, bringing a calm and mysterious presence to the role.
The production team teased that the drama will center on the unpredictable relationships between its unusual characters, including a chaebol heir and a detective who goes undercover.
They said, “The unpredictable relationships between these unusual characters, from a third-generation chaebol to a disguised detective, will create a different kind of fun.”
They added, “Please look forward to Im Siwan, Seol In Ah, Kim Jung Hyun, and Yeonwoo as they move freely between romance, comedy, and thriller elements throughout the story.”
With its mix of romance, mystery, and comedy, Love in Disguise is already drawing attention for the chemistry between its four leads ahead of its October premiere.
