• Jun Ji Hyun In Talks to Star in New Fantasy Drama with Ji Chang Wook

Top actress Jun Ji Hyun might be returning to the small screen in a brand-new fantasy drama!

On March 28, reports revealed that Jun Ji Hyun is in discussions to star in the upcoming drama Human X Gumiho (working title).

Actor Ji Chang Wook is also reviewing the offer for the male lead, raising excitement about this potential A-list pairing.

The drama is the latest work from writer Im Me Ah Ri, who previously worked as an assistant under star screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, known for Goblin, Secret Garden, and The Glory. Im Me Ah Ri made her official debut with The Beauty Inside (2018) and gained more recognition with Doom at Your Service (2021).

Produced by HIGHRUN Studio—the company behind Hellbound 2 and Doctor SlumpHuman X Gumiho is expected to be a fresh take on the fantasy genre.

However, since the project is still in early development, the broadcasting schedule has not yet been decided.

Despite being in the industry for almost 30 years, Jun Ji Hyun has taken on fewer projects than some of her peers.

However, this year is shaping up differently! She is already set to lead Disney+’s Polaris, scheduled for a 2025 release, and will make her big-screen return after a decade in director Yeon Sang Ho’s highly anticipated film Colony.

With Human X Gumiho now in the mix, fans are excited to see her in multiple projects again!

Interestingly, Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook are both part of Colony, making fans wonder if they will continue their on-screen chemistry in Human X Gumiho as well.

If both actors accept their roles, this would mark their second time working together, raising even more curiosity about their potential team-up!

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
