THE BOYZ member Q is taking a bigger step into acting after signing an exclusive contract with Peach Company, the agency that also represents Jun Ji Hyun and Kim So Hyun.
On September 4, Peach Company officially announced that Q, whose real name is Ji Chang Min, had joined the agency as he prepares to expand his career as an actor.
The company said, “We are happy to begin a new chapter with Ji Chang Min, who has shown his own unique style and strong abilities.”
It added, “We will become a reliable partner and fully support him so he can show his potential and continue taking on a wider range of activities.”
Ji Chang Min first gained attention as Q of THE BOYZ, building a strong international fanbase through his activities with the group. He has since started exploring acting alongside his music career.
He previously appeared in the film Apartment: Ripley’s World, marking one of his early acting projects. More recently, he was cast in the upcoming horror film Akgu: The Secret of the Moon Shadow, a working title, signaling a more serious move into acting.
The movie follows six 27-year-old friends who go camping to investigate rumors surrounding a pond deep in the forest, only to become caught up in strange events.
Ji Chang Min will play Tae Yeop, a logical and rational character who is expected to have an important role in the story.
With a new film project and an exclusive contract with Peach Company, Ji Chang Min is now preparing to build his acting career more actively under his real name while continuing to be known to fans as Q of THE BOYZ.
