Broadcaster Jang Sung Kyu has responded to the recent controversy surrounding his drastically changed appearance.
On November 27th, Jang Sung Kyu shared his thoughts on the reaction his new photo has received. He wrote, "The reactions are hotter than I expected," as his photo quickly gained attention online throughout the day.
He continued, "Thank you for all the reactions, whether it was asking if I was hacked, if it’s AI, or if it’s a deepfake, or if I had something done."
He added, "But even if that's the case, some of the comments saying they thought I was Cha Eun Woo… I feel bad for Eun Woo. I apologize, but please refrain from that. #from #JangEunWoo," he jokingly added.
Earlier, Jang Sung Kyu had shared his thoughts on his new look, saying, "I’ve achieved my dream. It was my dream to be in the top 3 in terms of looks among MCs, and with just a slight change, that dream has come true."
He added, " But what if I end up becoming an actor? I'm a little worried… but it’s probably just a silly worry", surprising fans with his completely different appearance.
Jang Sung Kyu, a former JTBC announcer, became a freelancer in 2019. He also recently made headlines for owning a building in the luxurious Cheongdam-dong area of Gangnam, Seoul, with an estimated value of over 10 billion KRW.
