ATEEZ’s Wooyoung jokingly made it clear how much his friendship tattoo with fellow member San means to him, saying he would not date someone who asked him to remove it.
Wooyoung and San appeared together in a preview for the YouTube variety show Salon Drip, where host Jang Do Yeon brought up the matching tattoos the two members share.
During the casual conversation, Jang Do Yeon asked Wooyoung what he would do if a future girlfriend told him to remove the friendship tattoo he got with San.
Wooyoung immediately replied, “Then I wouldn’t date that person.”
The straightforward answer drew attention because Wooyoung and San have long been known among fans for their close friendship.
Both members were born in 1999 and reportedly have matching tattoos in the same location featuring the Latin phrase “Amicus ad aras,” which is commonly understood to express the idea of remaining friends for life.
Wooyoung has also previously said that he does not regret getting the tattoo.
His latest comment on Salon Drip was made in a lighthearted setting, but it once again highlighted how seriously he values his longtime friendship with San.
