• Park Myung Soo Reveals IU’s Admiration for Onew’s Genuine Singing Style: "He Touches the Heart With Sincerity"

SHINee's Onew expressed pride in his voice.

On September 5, Onew appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM’s 'Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show,' promoting his solo album.

Recently, Onew made a comeback with his 3rd mini-album, 'FLOW.' Speaking about the charm of the title track, Onew shared, “While making the song, I realized I was forgetting my own charm. I created the song with the thought that since everyone has their unique appeal, they can positively influence others wherever they are.”

This album also features Onew rapping. He explained, “While doing a demo recording, I considered removing the rap part, but since it was short, I decided to give it a try. It felt like it could be a good part,” so he kept the rap section in the final version.

When asked about his members' reactions to the album, Onew said, “I played it for them while we did the challenge together, and they said it was exciting. They liked it because it’s different from my previous songs, so I felt good.” Member Minho especially praised the song during one of Onew’s live broadcasts, saying he really liked it.

Park Myung Soo added, “I like the song. With fall university events coming up, I think it would be great if you could perform it at many places.”

Park Myung Soo then asked Onew what he thought about his own voice. Onew honestly confessed, “In the past, I couldn’t do impressions or mimic voices, and it became a trauma for me. Everyone else could do it, but I couldn’t.”

However, Onew said that after receiving compliments about his voice, he regained his confidence. “Now I think my voice is a treasure.”

Park Myung Soo added, “Even IU gave you high praise. She said, ‘If I were a man, I’d want to sing like Onew. He doesn’t try too hard to be stylish, but he touches the heart with sincerity.’”

Onew responded humorously, saying, “She really has a good eye for people.”

Onew also shared his method for taking care of his voice. He mentioned that he drinks water frequently, saying, “I drink up to 4 liters a day. I go to the bathroom a lot, but I think keeping my voice hydrated is the best.”

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
