IU gains attention with her bright “Isul fairy” visuals in new advertisement after “Perfect Crown” controversy

IU is drawing attention with her latest advertisement photos.

The singer and actress was recently selected as the model for an alcohol brand and appeared in a new commercial shoot. The brand uploaded several photos of IU on its official social media, quickly gaining interest from fans.

In the post, the brand described IU as the “Isul fairy” and wrote, “All seasons of the fairy captured by Isul. ‘Isul Album,’ the more beautiful 2026 spring edition.” The brand also added, “There is no need to go flower viewing... because there is the most beautiful flower, the fairy.”

In the released photos, IU wore a white see through style dress that gave off a soft and elegant mood. She posed while holding a glass and smiling brightly, while another photo showed her looking thoughtful as if she was writing in a diary.

Fans reacted warmly to the photos, leaving comments such as, “Our Isul princess, I am happy to see your face even like this,” “Can this be made into a photo card?” “Eat well and stay healthy,” and “She is just like a Disney princess.”

Meanwhile, IU’s MBC drama “21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife” recently faced criticism over historical distortion concerns. A public petition asking for the content to be removed reportedly received more than 50,000 signatures in four days. IU and co star Byeon Woo Seok have both apologized over the controversy.
