2NE1 member CL may soon reunite with longtime producer Teddy, as THEBLACKLABEL has officially confirmed that the two sides are discussing a possible exclusive contract.
On October 28, THEBLACKLABEL addressed reports about CL potentially joining the agency, which is led by producer Teddy.
A representative of the company told Star News, *"We are currently in discussions with CL regarding an exclusive contract."*
The statement confirms that negotiations are underway, although no final agreement has been announced.
The possibility of CL joining THEBLACKLABEL has attracted attention because of her long history of working with Teddy during her time at YG Entertainment.
CL debuted in 2009 as a member of 2NE1 under YG Entertainment. The group became one of K-pop's most recognized girl groups, releasing several successful songs, including *Fire*, *I Am the Best*, and *Come Back Home*.
Teddy played an important role in 2NE1's music production, contributing to the group's signature sound and many of its popular releases.
If CL signs with THEBLACKLABEL, it would mark a reunion between the singer and the producer who helped shape much of 2NE1's musical identity.
After leaving YG Entertainment in 2019, CL established her own agency, Very Cherry, and continued pursuing her music career independently.
Her potential move to THEBLACKLABEL would therefore represent a new chapter in her solo activities.
The agency is currently home to several well-known artists, including BIGBANG's Taeyang, BLACKPINK's Rosé, Jeon Somi, MEOVV, and ALLDAY PROJECT.
With CL and THEBLACKLABEL now discussing an exclusive agreement, attention is turning to whether the negotiations will lead to an official signing and a renewed musical partnership with Teddy.
For now, the agency has confirmed only that discussions are ongoing, and CL's possible contract with THEBLACKLABEL has not been finalized.
