BTS's Jungkook makes Spotify history as 'GOLDEN' reaches 154 weeks on global albums chart, setting new Asian solo record

BTS member Jungkook has achieved another major milestone on Spotify as his debut solo album "GOLDEN" becomes the first album by an Asian solo artist to spend a total of 154 weeks on the platform's Weekly Top Albums Global chart.

According to the Spotify chart dated October 16 to 22, *GOLDEN* ranked No. 200, extending its total chart run to 154 weeks.

The achievement marks the longest cumulative run on the chart for an album by an Asian solo artist, further highlighting Jungkook's continued popularity nearly three years after the album's original release.

Beyond its chart performance, *GOLDEN* has also reached major streaming milestones.

The album surpassed 7.56 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, becoming the first Asian solo artist's album to reach the milestone. It also reportedly achieved the figure faster than any other full-length album by an Asian artist.

The album's success has been supported by strong streaming numbers across all 10 tracks, each of which has accumulated more than 180 million plays on Spotify.

Among the songs, *Seven* leads with approximately 3.12 billion streams, making it the most-streamed track on the album.

*Standing Next to You* follows with around 1.54 billion streams, while *3D* has reached approximately 1.22 billion streams.

Other tracks have also recorded notable figures, with *Yes or No* surpassing 390 million streams, *Please Don't Change* reaching 250 million, and *Hate You* recording 240 million.

Meanwhile, *Closer to You* and *Somebody* have each exceeded 210 million streams, while *Shot Glass of Tears* and *Too Sad to Dance* have both accumulated more than 180 million plays.

In March 2026, *GOLDEN* also ranked No. 20 on a list of the 20 albums that produced the most major hits during the 2020s, adding another recognition to the album's achievements.

Jungkook's success extends beyond *GOLDEN*.

His Spotify artist profile has accumulated approximately 11.67 billion streams across all credited tracks, reportedly making him the fastest Asian artist to reach the figure and the first K-pop solo artist to achieve the milestone.

With *GOLDEN* continuing to appear on Spotify's global albums chart after 154 weeks, Jungkook has added another record to his solo career, demonstrating the album's lasting international appeal.
