Actress Go Min Si's agency has explained why she was absent from another official promotional event for Netflix's upcoming series Dead-End Job, confirming that her ongoing filming schedule prevented her from attending.

On October 28, Netflix held a press conference for Dead-End Job at the Fairmont Ambassador Hotel in Seoul. Director Kim Da Min, executive producer Han Jun Hee, and actors Kim Min Ha and Lee Hee Joon attended the event.

However, Go Min Si, who plays one of the main characters in the series, was noticeably absent.

Following questions about her absence, Go Min Si's agency told Star News, "Go Min Si was unable to attend due to the filming schedule of a project she is currently working on."

The actress is reportedly busy filming director Um Tae Hwa's upcoming project A Good Place to Live.

This was not the first time Go Min Si had missed an official event for Dead-End Job.

The Netflix series was previously invited to the On Screen section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, where the cast and production team participated in promotional activities, including an open talk and an audience discussion.

Go Min Si did not attend those events either, while fellow lead actor Lee Jae Wook reportedly visited the festival during a break from his military service.

Her repeated absences have also brought renewed attention to school bullying allegations raised against her in May 2025. At the time, her agency rejected the claims as false and indicated that it would consider legal action.

Go Min Si also personally denied the allegations, stating, "I can say with certainty that I have absolutely never committed school violence."

However, her agency's latest explanation specifically attributed her absence from the October 28 press conference to her filming commitments.

Meanwhile, executive producer Han Jun Hee discussed Go Min Si's casting during the event, explaining that he wanted to show a different side of the actress compared to her previous role in Tastefully Yours.

"I wanted to portray a completely different side of her from her previous work, Tastefully Yours," he shared.

He also noted that her character in both projects shares the name Yeon Joo, despite the roles being entirely different.

In Dead-End Job, Go Min Si plays Yeon Joo, a mysterious woman who approaches Hyuk Joon, played by Lee Jae Wook, near a suspicious employment agency offering unusually high-paying jobs.

The horror series, which also stars Kim Min Ha and Lee Hee Joon, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 30.
