Actor Park Jin Young shared a funny behind-the-scenes story from tvN's 100 Days of Deception, revealing how he became playfully jealous of Kim Yoo Jung over a gift given to a Japanese child actress.
On October 27, ELLE Korea released a YouTube video featuring Kim Yoo Jung and Park Jin Young, where the two stars talked about their experiences filming the drama together.
During the conversation, Park Jin Young recalled preparing a special present for a Japanese child actress who played his younger sister, Hanako, in the series.
"She's actually Japanese, and I wanted to give her something after our final filming day, so I prepared a tumbler with Hello Kitty on it and some keycaps," he explained.
However, what happened next became a funny memory between him and Kim Yoo Jung.
Park Jin Young recalled that the young actress was happy with the gifts, but her reaction to one of the presents was noticeably more enthusiastic, leaving him feeling a little jealous.
He later learned from their Japanese language teacher that the child actress lived near a Hello Kitty-themed village, making the situation even more amusing.
Kim Yoo Jung joined the conversation and teased Park Jin Young about how disappointed he had been.
"He was really upset at the time. She liked my gift so much that she kept carrying it around and even showed it off to her mother. And she did all of that right in front of Jin Young," she recalled.
Park Jin Young then revealed what he had jokingly asked Kim Yoo Jung after seeing the young actress's reaction.
"I told Yoo Jung, 'Did she not like my gift that much?'" he said, admitting his playful jealousy.
Kim Yoo Jung added with a laugh, "Apparently, he was very jealous."
Their lighthearted exchange highlighted the comfortable friendship between the two actors, who have been sharing stories about their time working together on the historical drama.
Meanwhile, Kim Yoo Jung and Park Jin Young currently star in tvN's weekend drama 100 Days of Deception, playing Lee Ga Kyung and Sato Hideo, respectively.
