IU showed her support for Byeon Woo Seok by sending a snack truck to the filming set of his upcoming Netflix series Solo Leveling.
On September 2, a food truck company shared photos from the support event, revealing that IU had arranged snacks for Byeon Woo Seok and the production team while they were filming the new series.
According to the company, IU ordered a large “world star set” for the cast and crew. The truck also featured playful messages using Byeon Woo Seok’s name and his Solo Leveling character Sung Jin Woo.
One message read, “Let’s level up together. Anyway, fighting to the ‘Solo Leveling’ team!”
The gesture drew attention as IU and Byeon Woo Seok previously worked together as co-stars in the MBC drama 21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife. Despite past controversy surrounding the drama over criticism related to historical representation and accuracy, the two actors have continued to publicly support each other’s work.
Byeon Woo Seok is currently filming Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling.
Based on the popular web novel and webtoon of the same name, the series follows Sung Jin Woo, played by Byeon Woo Seok, an E-rank hunter considered among the weakest before an unexpected event gives him the ability to grow dramatically stronger.
IU’s latest gift highlights the friendship between the two stars even after completing their previous project together.
