Kim Hyun Joo has shared her thoughts on aging, appearance, and why she believes accepting natural changes is more important than trying to maintain the same look forever.

During an interview on October 16 for her upcoming film *Paradise Lost*, the actress was asked about how she takes care of her appearance as she gets older.

Kim Hyun Joo answered openly that she does receive some basic treatments, but said she prefers not to go too far.

She explained, *“Of course, there are some treatments you naturally end up getting. I might do something light like laser treatment, but I think once you start doing too much, other things can become more noticeable.”*

For her, the more important part is becoming comfortable with how she naturally looks over time.

She added, *“I think it’s important to simply accept my own face as it is.”*

Kim Hyun Joo also said she does not follow any particularly complicated beauty routine.

She shared, *“There’s nothing special that I do. I think it’s really important to let yourself rest properly.”*

Her perspective has also changed beyond appearance. Looking back at her younger self, the actress said she now sees some parts of her past differently and believes that reflecting on oneself is an important part of growing older.

Kim Hyun Joo said that learning how to pace herself has also helped her continue acting for many years. She recalled periods when she became deeply absorbed in characters and felt emotionally and physically exhausted even after filming ended.

She explained that those experiences taught her that she needed to find a healthier rhythm if she wanted to keep acting for a long time.

*“Because I wanted to continue doing this work, I eventually found my own pace,”* she said.

Kim Hyun Joo added that she still gives her full effort on set but tries not to let every project consume her entire personal life.

The actress said she is now satisfied with the balance she has found between work and everyday life.

*“Right now, I’m living a very ordinary, stable life in the way I wanted,”* she said. *“I think where I am now feels just right.”*

Kim Hyun Joo will next appear in psychological thriller *Paradise Lost*, which is scheduled to open on October 21.
