Kim Hyun Joo revealed that she did not expect viewers to respond so strongly to her romance storyline with Lee Moo Saeng in tvN’s 100 Days of Deception.

During an interview on October 16, the actress spoke about the growing attention surrounding the pair’s more mature romance in the drama.

Kim Hyun Joo plays Yoo So Ran, an independence activist, while Lee Moo Saeng stars as Yoo Philip, a Korean American correspondent working in Gyeongseong. Their characters appear as a married couple as part of their mission.

The relationship has already become one of the drama’s most talked-about storylines, which surprised Kim Hyun Joo.

She said, *“I didn’t expect people to show this much interest.”*

The actress added, *“It seems like viewers like it even more than I expected. There are still many stories left, so I hope you look forward to what comes next.”*

Rather than revealing future developments, Kim Hyun Joo simply hinted that the relationship between Yoo So Ran and Yoo Philip still has much more to explore as the drama continues.

100 Days of Deception premiered on October 10 and is set in 1932 during the Japanese colonial period. The spy romance follows characters involved in an undercover operation while also exploring personal relationships shaped by the era.

Kim Hyun Joo is currently also preparing for the release of psychological thriller *Paradise Lost*, but her unexpected chemistry with Lee Moo Saeng in 100 Days of Deception has quickly become another major point of interest among viewers.
