Hyeri and Hwang In Youp showed that their playful chemistry is still going strong even after filming for Dream To You came to an end.
On August 21, Hyeri shared a behind-the-scenes video from the drama’s final filming days on her YouTube channel. During the video, she and Hwang In Youp exchanged jokes while talking about how they might feel once they no longer see each other regularly on set.
When Hwang In Youp learned that the video would be released after the drama ended, he jokingly asked, “We’ll still be close by then, right?”
When the production staff asked if they were not already close, he replied, “We’re very close now. Hyeri is such a superstar and she’s really busy, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to see her then. But if Hyeri asks to meet, I’m always available.”
Hyeri immediately teased him by saying, “He’s the one who always says he’ll contact me but never does.”
Hwang In Youp protested, “I’ve been contacting you a lot lately,” but Hyeri quickly responded, “What are you talking about?”
Their joking continued after they finished their final studio shoot. Hwang In Youp admitted that he wished filming could have lasted a little longer.
“I keep thinking it would have been nice to film more. More than anything, it doesn’t really feel real that this is the last time with Hyeri,” he said.
He added, “It feels like we’ll keep seeing each other next week and next month, so thinking that we won’t makes me a little sad.”
Hyeri then asked, “Are you going to cry?”
Hwang In Youp answered, “I think I might, but I’ll cry somewhere no one can see me.”
Hyeri lightened the mood by replying, “Why? Let’s cry together.”
The two also joked about what Hyeri should call him after filming ended. Although Hwang In Youp is three years older, Hyeri had been calling him by his character’s name during production.
When she suggested calling him “In Youp-ssi,” he playfully showed his disappointment. Hyeri then tried “oppa,” which surprised him.
Hwang In Youp quickly joked, “Not oppa. You can just keep calling me Subin.”
Their final filming day ended with the same playful back-and-forth they had shown throughout production, highlighting the comfortable friendship they built while working together on Dream To You
