BTS’s Jimin drew attention during a concert in Arlington, Texas, after appearing on stage in styling that reminded fans of South Korea’s national flag on August 15, Korea’s Liberation Day.

During the U.S. performance, Jimin wore red and blue hair accents along with an outfit featuring patterns that fans compared to the geon, gon, gam, and ri trigrams seen on the Taegeukgi.

The timing made the look especially meaningful to many fans, as August 15 marks Korea’s Liberation Day, which commemorates the country’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule in 1945.

A concert staff member later shared a photo of Jimin on social media alongside a South Korean flag emoji, further drawing attention to the symbolism of his stage styling.

This was not the first time Jimin had incorporated similar details while overseas. In 2025, he was also seen in the United States wearing a cap with a Taegeukgi patch commemorating the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation.

Another heartwarming moment from the Arlington concert also gained attention when Jimin gave a keyring to a young attendee and gently patted the child’s head.

The child was reportedly invited to the concert through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that helps fulfill wishes for children facing serious illnesses.

Fans praised both moments, with reactions including “Jimin made me think about the meaning of Liberation Day again,” and “It was a beautiful way to mark the day.”

Jimin’s Taegeukgi-inspired styling and thoughtful interaction with the young fan became two memorable moments from BTS’s U.S. concert, drawing attention from fans in Korea and abroad.
