Rosé’s previous comments about BLACKPINK’s future have resurfaced as fans continue discussing the group’s 10th anniversary activities.
Earlier this year, Rosé appeared on the U.S. podcast Call Her Daddy, where host Alex Cooper asked what would happen if one of the BLACKPINK members eventually decided that continuing group activities was no longer right for her.
Rosé said the members had likely spoken about similar possibilities before, although she could not remember the details of those conversations.
She explained, “If one of us feels that continuing is no longer right for her, I think we would have to respect that.”
Rosé emphasized that an individual member’s decision should come first rather than forcing someone to remain in a situation they are no longer comfortable with.
She added that the same principle applies beyond BLACKPINK, saying that people should not be pressured to continue something they are not ready or willing to do.
Rosé also noted that BLACKPINK is made up of four individuals who each have their own lives and choices.
She said, “We can’t disregard the choices each person makes in her own life.”
Her comments suggested that even if one member eventually chose a different path, the others would try to respect that decision and trust that she had made the choice she felt was right for herself.
The remarks are drawing renewed attention following BLACKPINK’s 10th anniversary fan event on August 8. Some fans expressed disappointment over parts of the event’s organization, attendance information, and fan gifts.
However, Rosé made the comments months before the anniversary discussion, and there is no indication that they were connected to the recent criticism or that any BLACKPINK member currently plans to leave the group.
The renewed interest instead reflects heightened attention on BLACKPINK’s future as the members continue balancing full-group activities with their individual careers.
