KBS drama Love on the Menu is continuing its strong rise, with its latest episode reaching 15.6% and taking first place among all weekend broadcasts.

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 8, which aired on August 16, recorded a nationwide household rating of 15.6%, making it the most-watched program of the weekend.

The episode also marked a major turning point for Kim Moo Jin, played by Ha Seok Jin, and Han Gyu Rim, played by Ahn Hee Yeon, as the former couple began opening themselves up to new relationships.

After their breakup, both characters tried to move forward in different ways. Gyu Rim gradually became closer to Jo Heung Sik, played by Bae Jung Nam, while Moo Jin found himself reconsidering his relationship with Jang Seo Hyun, played by Lee Joo Yeon.

Near the end of the episode, Gyu Rim made her intentions clear when she told Heung Sik, “Let’s seriously try dating.”

Moo Jin also approached Seo Hyun with a similar proposal, saying, “Instead of being like an older brother and younger sister, let’s properly meet as a man and a woman.”

The two decisions suggested that the former couple’s love story is entering a new phase, while leaving questions about whether their new relationships will continue.

With a 15.6% nationwide rating and first place across weekend television, Love on the Menu is showing strong momentum as its romance becomes more complicated.
