Actor Jung Woo Sung has become the center of online attention after claims surfaced that praise for his acting was part of viral marketing. However, his agency has clearly denied the allegations.

On January 14, Artist Company responded to the issue, stating that the viral marketing suspicions spreading online are “completely not true.” The agency emphasized that there was no organized effort behind the positive posts praising Jung Woo Sung’s acting.

The controversy began after multiple posts appeared on online communities, including popular mom cafes, complimenting Jung Woo Sung’s performance in the Disney Plus series Made in Korea.

Some netizens questioned the situation, pointing out that several posts were uploaded around the same time and had similar wording and formats, which led to suspicions of planned promotion.

As discussions grew, attention focused on Jung Woo Sung’s unique acting style in the drama. His role as prosecutor Jang Geon Young stood out due to its strong tone and expressive gestures, which sparked mixed reactions from viewers and further fueled debate online.

Despite the controversy, the production side has maintained that the character was intentionally designed that way, and Jung Woo Sung’s agency continues to firmly deny any involvement in viral marketing.

Made in Korea is a Disney Plus original series set in South Korea during the 1970s and features Jung Woo Sung alongside Hyun Bin, drawing steady attention both for its cast and performances.
