'Made in Korea' dominates worldwide streaming and proves huge success despite Jung Woo Sung’s acting controversy

Disney+’s original series Made in Korea has officially proven its global popularity by becoming the most-watched Korean original content worldwide on Disney+ in 2025, despite some controversy over Jung Woo Sung’s acting.

According to Disney+’s official data, Made in Korea ranked No. 1 worldwide among all Korean original releases of 2025, measured 48 days after its premiere.

Earlier, the series had already broken domestic viewing records and topped charts in the Asia-Pacific region, confirming its strong performance from the start.

The series tells a gripping story set in 1970s South Korea, following Baek Ki Tae (Hyun Bin), a corporate figure seeking wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Gun Young (Jung Woo Sung), who relentlessly pursues him through major events of the era.

Fans have praised the series for its thrilling story and strong performances. Comments online include:
