Jo Jung Suk’s latest film My Daughter Is a Zombie is showing unstoppable momentum at the box office.

According to the Korean Film Council on August 17, the movie attracted 261,373 viewers on the 16th alone, securing the No. 1 spot at the box office.

Its total audience has now reached 4,310,175 viewers, becoming the first Korean release of the year to pass 4 million and the fastest to hit the milestone. With 5 million in sight, the film is expected to break even more records.

Riding on this success, Jo Jung Suk and the cast of My Daughter Is a Zombie also joined the trending Soda Pop challenge, which features the OST from Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters.

In particular, the “Jo Jung Suk front-row fancam” uploaded on his agency’s channel has already surpassed 7.48 million views, drawing huge buzz online.
