ENHYPEN’s Jay received unexpectedly high praise from professional chef Jung Ji Sun after showing off his cooking skills in his latest variety content.
On October 1, the second episode of Jay’s personal YouTube series *Shh, Secret Chef* was released through ENHYPEN’s official channel. This time, Jay took on Chinese cuisine while following Jung Ji Sun’s instructions from behind a divider, meaning the two could not see each other while cooking.
The challenge was not easy at first. Jay struggled with some of the knife work, but carefully followed the chef’s instructions, asked questions when necessary, and continued preparing the dish step by step.
Jung Ji Sun was even able to judge his technique by listening to the sound of his knife work and complimented his skills during the challenge.
Jay also revealed one of his cooking goals, saying, *“I’ve always dreamed of using a wok.”* Jung Ji Sun jokingly responded with an unexpected invitation: *“If you want to learn, come to my restaurant.”*
The biggest compliment came after the divider was removed and Jung Ji Sun finally tasted Jay’s finished dish.
After trying the food, she said, *“You have a good touch for cooking. There’s nothing to criticize. I think you could handle an even more difficult dish next time.”*
The praise gave Jay more than just a fun variety-show moment, as a professional chef recognized both his basic cooking instincts and his ability to follow complicated instructions without seeing the person teaching him.
