Lima is turning into a BTS celebration ahead of the group’s first-ever concerts in Peru.
BTS will bring their *BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LIMA* to Estadio San Marcos on October 7, 9, and 10, marking the group’s first performances in the country since their debut.
Ahead of the shows, the Santiago de Surco district temporarily renamed Sacramento Street as “BTS Boulevard” from October 5 through 11. Special signs have also been installed to mark the occasion.
Other parts of Lima are joining the celebration. The Arco Morisco at Parque de la Amistad has been illuminated in purple, with light displays scheduled through October 11.
The city’s Circuito Mágico del Agua is also holding BTS-themed events featuring music, lights, fountains, and water-screen visuals during the same period.
Peru’s official tourism platform, Peru Travel, has highlighted the concerts as an opportunity to introduce international visitors to the country’s food, culture, and natural attractions.
The Lima shows follow BTS’s South American tour opening in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2 and 3, where the group reportedly performed for around 100,000 fans across two nights.
Rolling Stone en Español described the Bogotá stop as *“one of the most anticipated concerts of an entire generation,”* adding that BTS *“met expectations and, in several moments, went beyond them.”*
With “BTS Boulevard,” purple landmarks, and themed city events now in place, Lima is preparing a large-scale welcome for BTS’s historic first visit to Peru.
