Korean drama Your Personal Taxi is quickly gaining attention after climbing Netflix Korea’s rankings shortly after its release.

The eight-episode series entered Netflix Korea’s Top 3 soon after becoming available and continued moving upward, eventually reaching No. 1 in the drama category. During the holiday period, it also remained around the No. 2 to No. 3 spots on Netflix’s daily Top 10 series chart in South Korea.

The fast rise has drawn attention because Your Personal Taxi takes a quieter approach compared with many high-intensity dramas. Instead of relying heavily on shocking twists or conflict, the series focuses on ordinary people, everyday struggles, music, and comforting conversations.

Cha Tae Hyun leads the drama as taxi driver Go Gi Sa, whose encounters with different passengers form the heart of the story. The cast also includes Lee Jae In, Im Se Mi, Kwak Yoon Gi, Hyun Bong Sik, and Lee Yeon Hee.

The drama has also received attention for its use of familiar songs and warm radio-style storytelling, giving viewers what some Korean media have described as a comforting and nostalgic atmosphere.

Special appearances have added to the buzz, including Taiwanese actor Patrick Shih, known internationally for Someday or One Day, and veteran radio DJ Bae Chul Soo. However, the drama’s growing Netflix performance has become the bigger story as it continues attracting viewers.

Some viewers have praised the series as “a well-made healing drama that warms the heart,” highlighting its gentle storytelling and relatable themes.

With all eight episodes now available, Your Personal Taxi is continuing its strong run on Netflix Korea while also being released in Japan through FOD.
