According to Nielsen Korea, the drama’s October 4 finale recorded an average nationwide rating of 9.4% and peaked at 10.6%, marking a new personal best for the series. In the Seoul metropolitan area, the episode averaged 10.0% and reached a peak of 11.4%.
The finale also ranked No. 1 in its time slot across all channels, including major terrestrial broadcasters, in both nationwide and metropolitan ratings. Four Hands, Two Sonatas additionally maintained the No. 1 position among cable and general programming channels nationwide for 12 consecutive episodes.
Among viewers aged 20 to 49, one of tvN’s key demographics, the finale also placed first in its time slot across all channels in both nationwide and metropolitan measurements.
Without revealing major spoilers, the final episode brought the journeys of pianist Kang Bi Oh, played by Song Kang, and conductor Choi Jung Yo, played by Lee Jun Young, back to music after the challenges they faced throughout the story. Their relationship and personal growth remained at the center of the conclusion.
