SEVENTEEN continues to break records and make history — this time with their hit song Super!
On June 26, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) confirmed that SEVENTEEN’s Super, one of the double title tracks from their 10th mini album FML, has officially surpassed 100 million streams on Japanese music platforms as of May.
With this, Super is now Platinum-certified in Japan, marking SEVENTEEN’s second Platinum streaming certification from the RIAJ. Their first was Very NICE, which achieved the milestone in September 2023.
The RIAJ awards streaming certifications monthly:
- Gold for 50 million streams
- Platinum for 100 million
- Diamond for 500 million
SEVENTEEN also has a long list of Gold-certified hits in Japan, including:
Fallin' Flower, Mansae, Ready to love, Clap, Darl+ing, HOT, HIT, Rock with you, Left & Right, Pretty U, Don’t Wanna Cry, and BSS’s Fighting (Feat. Lee Young Ji).
The song Super compares SEVENTEEN’s growth and struggles to Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, showing how the group has become stronger through challenges. The track made waves worldwide, staying on the Billboard Global 200 for 12 weeks, and has already passed 200 million streams on Spotify — proving its lasting power.
Their 10th mini album FML, which features Super, sold nearly 4 million copies on day one, and later crossed 6.2 million in two months, making it the best-selling K-pop album of all time.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN’s latest release, their 5th full album HAPPY BURSTDAY, is also seeing huge success. It sold 2.52 million copies in its first week, the highest for any K-pop album in 2025 so far, and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, tying SEVENTEEN’s highest U.S. chart ranking. The album stayed on the chart for three weeks straight.
SEVENTEEN continues to prove their power not just in Korea, but all around the world — and Super is just one more reason why they’re at the top.
