Hearts2Hearts is once again in the middle of a heated debate over their airport security team’s actions — and fans are divided.
On June 8, the girl group was seen at Incheon International Airport while heading to China.
As they boarded the airport’s shuttle train, a woman carrying a large professional camera (often called a “bazooka camera”) accidentally bumped into one of the members.
In a shocking moment caught on camera, one of the group’s security guards suddenly grabbed the woman by the neck, pushed her back, and even hit her face with his elbow — all while shouting, “Are you crazy? Why are you bumping into the members?” The woman tried to defend herself, saying, “I have to go too,” and, “I have a boarding pass.” The tense scene continued inside the train.
The incident quickly went viral online and was featured in the June 10 episode of JTBC’s Incident Chief, sparking strong reactions from netizens.
SM Entertainment released an official statement in response, saying,
“At the scene where our artist was departing, a so-called ‘sasaeng’ fan kept pushing and trying to make physical contact with the members. The security guard acted in the moment to stop it.”
However, the agency admitted the response went too far:
“We agree that the response was excessive. We’ve reported the issue to the security company and requested it never happen again. We apologize for causing concern and promise to manage public safety better during artist schedules.”
This isn’t the first time Hearts2Hearts has been involved in airport chaos. Back in March, the group made headlines after another crowd-control problem at Gimpo International Airport.
At that time, a video of an angry traveler yelling at the group’s security also made its rounds online, leading to public backlash.
Fans are now once again voicing their concerns — some are demanding better protection for idols, while others say things have gone too far.
SM Entertainment has not shared if further action will be taken.
