• Late actress Kim Sae Ron’s secret marriage, abortion, and controlling husband revealed in voice recordings

A shocking claim has surfaced that the late Kim Sae Ron was secretly married before she passed away.

On March 19, YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho revealed an exclusive story about Kim Sae Ron’s hidden marriage. He admitted a "moral responsibility" in sharing this but stressed, "This situation is far from normal."

He explained, "What I’m revealing today is the truth that the bereaved family has been hiding—Kim Sae Ron was actually married."

Back in January, Kim Sae Ron shared wedding-themed photos on social media with the caption "Marry." At the time, her side denied the marriage rumors, saying, "It was just a concept shoot with a friend. She was not married."

However, Lee Jin Ho challenged this, stating, "After checking the facts, she was indeed married. Due to unavoidable circumstances, I am now revealing an audio recording of Kim Sae Ron herself."

The recording is a conversation between Kim Sae Ron and her agency representative (A). When A asked about the wedding-themed photos, Kim Sae Ron said, "I didn’t post them. My boyfriend did."

A, sounding frustrated, replied, "You need to be honest with me. Reporters keep asking."

Then A questioned her further, "The guy I met on Christmas wasn’t the same person. How did you end up married? Did you really get married?"

Kim Sae Ron then confessed, "I was dating my ex-boyfriend, but we broke up. I told him I had a new boyfriend. I was planning to break up with my current boyfriend and not get married, but I got pregnant."

When A asked, "Are you pregnant?" Kim Sae Ron revealed, "I had an abortion. But he used my pregnancy to force me into marriage."

She also described her husband, saying he was "a regular office worker at a big company, introduced to me by an acquaintance."

Regarding why she suddenly stopped using KakaoTalk, Kim Sae Ron explained, "My husband has access to all my accounts—KakaoTalk, Instagram. I can’t do anything. I can only use Telegram and text messages sometimes. He kept asking why I was hiding our marriage and told me to announce it, so we argued. That’s when he uploaded the photo."

She then confessed, "I never imagined I’d marry someone like him." When asked if her parents approved of the marriage, she hesitated and avoided answering directly.

Talking about her husband’s personality, she shared, "He seems normal. But when he drinks, he changes. My ex-boyfriend got involved, and that’s how things got messy."

Previously, the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon) claimed, "According to what Kim Sae Ron told her family, Kim Soo Hyun ordered her to get a new phone, delete KakaoTalk, and only use Telegram."

Addressing this, Lee Jin Ho revealed, "The bereaved family is accusing Kim Soo Hyun, who was her boyfriend four years ago. But at the same time, Kim Sae Ron was actually married and living with another man. Her family has been sharing materials found on her phone with Gaseyeon, meaning they were aware of her marriage."

Regarding rumors that Kim Sae Ron attempted suicide after watching Lee Jin Ho’s videos, he denied it, saying, "After checking the facts, Kim Sae Ron was actually in the U.S. with her husband at the time."

Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron’s family is reportedly planning digital forensics on her phone to prove their claims that Kim Soo Hyun dated her when she was underage.

  • Yook Sung Jae and Bona’s new drama ‘The Haunted Palace’ dominates Netflix charts and beats all SBS shows with double-digit ratings from the start

SBS's new fantasy historical drama The Haunted Palace is already making waves both in South Korea and around the world.

Starring Yook Sung Jae and Bona, the show exploded in popularity during its very first week — topping Netflix charts in multiple countries and hitting double-digit TV ratings straight out of the gate.

On Korean television, The Haunted Palace shocked viewers with a strong start. Episode 1 pulled in a peak nationwide rating of 10.7%, instantly breaking the double-digit barrier.

The Seoul area rating and the national average were both 9.2%, making it the highest-rated premiere of any SBS drama in 2025 so far.

It also beat out other SBS dramas like Love Scout and Buried Hearts, and even took the #1 spot among all mini-series aired that week, showing that this drama isn’t just trending — it’s leading the pack. (According to Nielsen Korea)

And the success didn’t stop on TV.

As soon as The Haunted Palace dropped on Netflix, it jumped straight to #1 on “Today’s Top 10 TV Shows in South Korea”, proving its massive popularity on streaming platforms.

Globally, it also ranked #1 in the TV series category in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, showing that international fans are just as hooked.
    (According to FlixPatrol, April 21)

The drama is also doing incredibly well on South Korea’s own streaming trend charts. On KinoLights — a platform that tracks trends across all streaming services — The Haunted Palace ranked #1 overall, beating both films and dramas. (As of April 19)

Fans are loving the unique story, which mixes fantasy, comedy, and creepy mystery. The drama follows Yeori, a shaman who denies her fate, and Kang Cheol I, a mythical Imoogi spirit trapped inside her first love’s body. Together, they face off against a terrifying ghost called Palcheok Gui — who has a dark grudge against the royal family.

Episode 2 added even more excitement, with Kang Cheol I hilariously struggling to live like a normal human after 1,000 years.

At the same time, Yeori starts hearing the voice of Yoon Gap’s spirit and tries to save him. By the end of the episode, it’s revealed that Prince Wonja (played by Park Jae Joon) is going mad due to Palcheok Gui — and that the ghost has already consumed Yoon Gap’s soul. The showdown between Kang Cheol I, Yeori, and the evil spirit is just getting started.

With high ratings and top OTT rankings, The Haunted Palace is quickly becoming one of the biggest drama hits of the year.

Episode 3 of The Haunted Palace airs on Friday, April 25 at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
