• BOYNEXTDOOR Tops Oricon Weekly Charts in Japan, Solidifying Their 'Trustworthy' Status

BOYNEXTDOOR is making major waves not just in South Korea but also across the seas in Japan with their latest mini album!

According to Oricon on September 19, BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Riu, Myungjae, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak) has clinched the top spot on the Weekly Combined Album Ranking for the week of September 23, covering September 9 to September 15, with their album '19.99.'

But that’s not all—BOYNEXTDOOR also snagged the No. 1 position on the Weekly Album Ranking, marking a double crown victory.

This achievement follows their previous win with the mini album 'HOW?,' making it their second time achieving dual victories on Oricon’s weekly charts.

The Combined Album Ranking takes into account CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming counts converted into points. With '19.99' earning 137,052 points in its first week, it outshines the 78,948 points earned by 'HOW?' in its debut week and surpasses the cumulative points of 'HOW?' (106,995), setting a new record for the group.

In addition, BOYNEXTDOOR's new album has topped two categories on Billboard Japan’s comprehensive album chart: Hot Albums and Top Album Sales for the week of September 18, covering September 9 to September 15.

This marks their second time topping the Hot Albums chart following their success with 'HOW?'. The group's consistent chart-topping performances have earned them the affectionate title of 'trustworthy BOYNEXTDOOR' (믿보넥) among fans.

'19.99' symbolizes the transitional phase just before turning twenty, with its title representing the imperfect number '19.99.'

The album features realistic lyrics that capture the thoughts and struggles of youth navigating the fine line between their teenage years and adulthood.

Catch BOYNEXTDOOR performing their title track "Nice Guy" on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on the 20th, as they continue to impress and captivate audiences with their evolving music and impressive chart achievements.

  • TWICE’s Jihyo buys a 4 billion won building in her 20s, proving she's one of the youngest wealthy stars

TWICE’s Jihyo has made headlines after purchasing a building worth a staggering 4 billion won in her 20s.

On May 2, Herald Economy reported that Jihyo bought a building in Seongdong-gu, Seongsu-dong 2-ga, Seoul, in early March of last year.

By the end of that month, she had completed the full payment and transferred ownership, with no mortgage attached, suggesting that the property was purchased entirely with cash.

Just a month after the purchase, Jihyo registered as a housing rental business operator and completed the registration for private rental housing.

As a housing rental business operator, she is eligible for tax benefits, such as reduced acquisition tax. However, she is also subject to certain regulations, including a 5% cap on rent increases, compliance with rental periods, and mandatory insurance for tenant deposits.

The building, which was built in 1986, has a land area of 152㎡ (45.98 pyeong) and a total floor area of 330.21㎡ (99.89 pyeong). It includes one basement level and three floors above ground.

The property is situated in Seongsu Strategic Redevelopment Zone 2, an area currently undergoing redevelopment.

Given the area's future potential, it is believed that Jihyo's investment is more focused on the property's long-term value rather than immediate rental income.
