• Super Junior's Choi Siwon Opens Up About Dating: "I Need Someone Who Supports Me in Tough Times"

Super Junior's Choi Siwon opened up about his ideal type and thoughts on dating.

On the September 1st episode of TV Chosun's 'Sikgaek Heo Young Man's Baekban Journey,' Choi Siwon and Jung In Sun, co-stars from the drama 'DNA Lover,' joined the show for a food adventure in Seoul.

During the episode, Heo Young Man asked Choi Siwon, "Why aren't you dating, Siwon?" Choi Siwon hesitated before responding, "It's not that I can't date…" He then jokingly reflected, "Am I the problem? Do I have issues?"

Jung In Sun playfully suggested, "You should take breaks sometimes," to which Choi Siwon laughed and said, "Sometimes? But we’ve been doing well," and added, "I think dating is all about timing."

Heo Young Man, however, teased him, saying, "At 38, it’s not about timing anymore." Choi Siwon, pretending to feel a bit of indigestion, shared, "I want someone who can be there for me when things are tough. Even if they don’t see me as Choi Siwon, it would be nice if they could say, 'Don’t worry, I’m here. Do what you want to do, oppa.'"

When asked if he’s looking for someone like his mother, Choi Siwon cleverly replied, "I genuinely respect my mother as a woman. I haven't met anyone like her. I think my father’s greatest blessing was my mother, and his second blessing was having me as a son," which brought some laughs to the conversation.
