Actor So Ji Sub has once again earned praise for showing his appreciation to the cast and crew of Agent Kim Reactivated by gifting them gold after the drama wrapped up.
Photos of the gifts recently spread across social media and online communities, showing gold bars presented in custom cases along with a heartfelt handwritten message from the actor.
In the note, So Ji Sub wrote, *"Working on this project brought me great happiness and unforgettable memories. Thank you to everyone who quietly did their best to make *Agent Kim Reactivated* shine."*
According to reports, one don (3.75 grams) of pure gold is currently valued at around 710,000 KRW. If each recipient received one don, the total value of the gifts could amount to tens of millions of KRW depending on the number of cast and crew members.
This is not the first time So Ji Sub has given gold as a wrap gift. After completing filming for the Netflix series Mercy for None last year, he also presented one don of gold to fellow actors, managers, and staff members.
The actor has previously explained why he prefers giving gold instead of other gifts.
"I used to give different presents, but people thought they were sponsored," he said. "Gold isn't sponsored, so I prepared it sincerely."
He also shared a practical reason behind the gesture, saying, "Times are difficult these days. If needed, it's something they can sell and use in the future."
Keeping his sense of humor, So Ji Sub joked about continuing the tradition, saying, "It's not guaranteed to always be gold. If I become a supporting actor, I might have to switch to silver."
