• "I highly doubt it" — Seventeen's DK Accused of Texting During Fan Video Call Event, but Fans Refute the Allegation

Seventeen's DK has found himself in the midst of a controversy after a Chinese fan accused him of texting during a recent fan video call event.

The fan claimed that DK was texting someone else for about 30 seconds while she was on the call with him. She alleged that she saw the reflection of a screen on his eyeglasses while he was doing this.

The allegation quickly spread on social media, with many netizens criticizing DK for his alleged unprofessional behavior. However, some fans stepped up to refute the claim by sharing another clip from the same event.

They said that even when DK had both hands in front of his face, you could still see the reflection of someone texting on his glasses.

The controversy has caused a divide among fans, with some believing the allegation and others defending DK. As of now, Seventeen has yet to respond to the situation.

Netizens weighed in on the controversy, with some expressing disappointment and others defending DK:

"I can't believe he would do something like this. Fans pay a lot of money for these video call events, and they deserve to have the idol's full attention."

"I don't think we should jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts. Maybe there was a valid reason for him to be texting at that moment."

"Even if he was texting, I don't think it's that big of a deal. He's human too, and he's entitled to take a break during a long day of video calls."

"It's sad to see fans turning on each other like this. Let's focus on supporting our idols instead of tearing each other down."

"DK has always been a professional and respectful idol. I highly doubt he would do something like this intentionally."

Regardless of what actually happened, the controversy serves as a reminder of the pressure that idols face and the intense scrutiny they are under from their fans. It's important for fans to remember to be respectful and understanding, and not to jump to conclusions without all the facts.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
