BTS ranks No. 1 in May boy group brand reputation beating SEVENTEEN and BIGBANG

BTS has taken the top spot in the May 2026 boy group brand reputation rankings.

On May 9, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute released its May 2026 boy group brand reputation rankings. BTS ranked No. 1, followed by SEVENTEEN at No. 2 and BIGBANG at No. 3.

The ranking was based on 57,899,924 pieces of boy group brand big data collected from April 9 to May 9.

The data measured participation, media, communication, and community indexes. Compared to April’s 79,966,049 pieces of data, the total amount decreased by 27.59%.

BTS recorded a brand reputation index of 10,428,385 for May. Although the group stayed at No. 1, the score dropped by 54.46% compared to April’s 22,897,786.

SEVENTEEN ranked No. 2 with a brand reputation index of 4,641,979, rising 18.61% from April. BIGBANG followed at No. 3 with 3,362,832, rising 22.94% from the previous month.

CORTIS placed No. 4 with 3,142,397, showing a strong 68.03% increase from April. EXO ranked No. 5 with 2,489,847, a slight decrease of 2.85%.

The full top 30 rankings were BTS, SEVENTEEN, BIGBANG, CORTIS, EXO, Wanna One, SHINee, THE BOYZ, NCT, TWS, ENHYPEN, Super Junior, Stray Kids, TVXQ, KICKFLIP, 2PM, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, BTOB, MONSTA X, ASTRO, TREASURE, ATEEZ, VIXX, Highlight, INFINITE, ZEROBASEONE, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, BOYNEXTDOOR, EVNNE, and B1A4.

Koo Chang Hwan of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute said BTS ranked No. 1 in the May analysis.

He also explained that the overall boy group brand category decreased by 27.59% compared to April.

For BTS, high ranking related words included “sell out,” “invite,” and “break through.”

Their main keywords included “ARMY,” “Arirang,” and “Mexico.” The group’s positive reaction rate was analyzed at 93.47%.
